From 2928 to 2933 Büren was the Staatsminister of Greater Hulstria; he additionally served as the Chairman of the Kaiserliche Hulsterreichische Partei/ Hieronymus held the hereditary and noble title of the "Burgrave of Büren". In 2915 Hieronymus von Büren succeeded Isolde, Countess of Smaragdwald as the Hulstrian Governor-General and served at that position until May of 2928. In April of 2928 however Hieronymus von Büren became the new Staatsminister following a cabinet vote, acting as both the Head of Government and State for a short period of one month, only the second Governor-General to ever do that with the first being Edmund von Greifstein, also a ranking member of the KHP.
