  • The Staatsminister of Hulstria and Gao-Soto, formally known as the Staatsminister of Their Imperial Majesties' Government, is the Head of Government in the United Imperial Crownlands of Hulstria and Gao-Soto. The Staatsminister is the head of the cabinet and the highest position in the Imperial Diet. Female Staatsministers are also referred to as Staatsministerin. The position of Staatsminister evolved over time from an almost honorary, elder statesman who ceremonially chaired the Cabinet to the central position in the Hulstrian and Gao-Showan government. This also brought changes in the holders of the office: in the Greater Hulstria era, the Staatsministers were often elder statesman, usually nobles, whereas presently, the Staatsminister is often the leader of the largest government party and of the governing coalition. This accompanied a change from unity cabinets to proper majority coalition cabinets.
