The Ford LTD sports a light bar on its roof. The model has a noteworthy lightbar design, the lightbar being attached from the inside of the car body, but not being part of the window plastic. This allows the lightbar and the windows to be different colors, while the lightbar cannot become detached during hard play. In some versions, the two halves of the lightbar are different colors, which for other models is not possible without the use of paint, or gluing two differently-colored lightbar halves together. This design was also used in 1979's Gran Fury Police Car, and with the beacons on several earlier emergency vehicles.
