The Elemspur Detention Center was a Cardassian prison in operation during the Cardassian occupation of Bajor. An old Cardassian road connected this prison to a spaceport. While working on a study of the prison in 2371, Bajoran archivist Alenis Grem discovered records that showed that Kira Nerys had been incarcerated there in 2361 for seven days. This story was corroborated by Yeln, the only surviving inmate of the three who supposedly shared a cell with her during that time. Kira, however, denied ever being at the prison, claming that at that time she was in the Dahkur Hills with other members of the Shakaar resistance cell.
