Stop motion, or frame-by-frame, is an animation technique used to make an inanimate object appear to move on its own. It involves taking photos of a subject, slowly changing the position of the toy in each frame, then linking the frames together in video format to create an impression of motion. Simple stop-motion projects can be enhanced with image-editing software to an incredible extent.
