Katerina was born into a rich family of nobles around the late 17th century. Her relationship with her parents was strained at best, as she rarely saw them. She became the Red Fire Ranger when she was 17. When Katerina's parents found out about their daughter's powers, instead of banishing her as she thought they would, they used her to gain a higher status and she was married to another noble against her will. She eventually had a child who would become Katrina's ancestor.
