Furugan was an abbot of the Order of Kaimetsu-uo in a temple located in the Eternal Danger Islands. Some believed the archipelago suffered a curse, and Furugan guessed that Suitengu, the Fortune of Sea, had imposed it because the Mantis had failed to claim the Islands.
