XQ5s were larger than all previous designs, and they had weapon mounts for up to four anti-warhead defense systems. They contained massive amounts of cargo in the upper section, and could dock with large vessels. Weapons included six turbolasers batteries, six laser cannons, and the aforementioned warhead launcher system. These stations were used for bulk transport of food and shipbuilding materials. The high cost made them available mostly to the military.
