Samaneri Sunna (1959- ) was born in Germany. In 1998 she came in contact with meditation in the course of a professional training. From 2001 to 2004 longer residencies with work and meditation at the Meditation Center Beatenberg. In 2003 she took part in a pilgrimage (tudong) with Ayya Mudita with the theme ‘old age -sickness - death’, which then led her to the Forest Monastery Metta Vihara in 2005. She received Samaneri ordination at the newly founded Nunnery Anenja Vihara on 30.12.2006.
