The Starcademy is an elite school that orbits Pluto. The main purpose of the school is to train students to become Stardogs. Those students who cannot meet the requirements of the school year are required to stay for summer sessions. These sessions include classroom courses and field training in space. In the situation of the "space cases", their poor grades had resulted in even their field training being canceled, leaving them in the classroom at the beginning of their journey.
