The Red Lake Thunderers were an independent (non-league) senior team. In 1937-38 they entered the Manitoba Senior Playoffs which they won. The Thunderers then lost the semi final in the 1937-38 Western Canada Allan Cup Playoffs. Red Lake entered the 1938-39 Thunder Bay Senior Playoffs and lost the final. The next season they entered the 1939-40 Thunder Bay Senior Playoffs and lost the semi final.
