The Governor of New Englia was the representative of Rutania when New Englia was a territory of Rutania. The position acted as the de facto head of state on behalf of the Rutanian Government. The governor was nominated by the President, Minister of Foreign Affairs or Parliament in Rutanian and had to be approved by the parliament. He/She then served a six year term and was not subject to term limits.
