The Lefein Expedition refers to a journey done by a group of explorers led by Daventhalas de Mont Hault in the First Age. Their objective was to travel to the desert to find any surviving lefein and Lefeinish artifacts. The expedition caught the eyes of the gods who weren't happy about Daven's plan to free the lefein. The gods decimated the group, captured Daven for interrogation and released him years later but robbed him of his memory and made him mute as a punishment.
