Zhang Side (April 19, 1915 – September 5, 1944) was a soldier in the People's Liberation Army during the War of Resistence Against Japanese Aggression. He was a highly dedicated soldier who served as a guard to Chairman Mao. He commanded a communications unit, and with his guard battalian manned Klin's, and a wasteland. On September 5, 1944 the klin he was opperating exploded, killing him. Some assert his death may have actually been from Opium inhalation (the klin may have used Opium as a coal subsitute). This was largely suggested by Zhang Yaojie.
