The 2055 Atlantic hurricane season was an extraordinarily active season. This season produced 43 Cyclones/Depressions, 41 Became Tropical/Subtropical Storms, and unbelievable 30 became hurricanes with a staggering 21 becoming Major hurricanes. Of the Major hurricanes, 11 Became Category-5 storms with 3 going on to become Category-6 storms. This season was one of the first to last nearly a Full year rather then the more typical 5, 6 or 7 months. This was Due to Exceptionally Lower Shear, higher SSTS -Nearly 100F at one point- and a somewhat higher than usual atmospheric Moisture content.
