an Entity in Data Space: dbkwik.org

Qwohog was the native language of the Qwohog species from Hirsi. It used sound waves to communicate underwater, but in the air these waves could only be transmitted for four meters. After the Qwohogs came into contact with offworlders, they began using vocalizer masks to translate sound waves and subtle jaw movements into words. Qwohogs used Qwohog sign language to communicate out of water. An important part of the species' heritage, it had been replaced by Basic after the Qwohogs entered the galactic community, but was still widely taught.
