The Northbridge Invitational Conference on Cryonics was an event held on Kibou-daini; Miles Vorkosigan and Raven Durona both attended as part of their investigation into the questionable actions of one of the planet's cryocorps, WhiteChrys. A group of delegates from off-planet were kidnapped by a local fringe-extremist group, which led to Miles's discovery of yet more questionable activities on the part of yet another cryocorp, NewEgypt.
