When a cursed coin started making the rounds, it seemed whomever possessed it was left short changed or worse — dead. The Strangler was after the coin himself, strangling beggars and business men alike, if they owned the coin. He knew the coin was part of the treasure of King Duchy of Lux and hoped it would lead him to the fortune, however it only led him to death at the hands of the Black Hood.
