The Unification of Yamato is a term used to refer to Shogun Masamori Hyuga's campaign to unite the clans of Yamato under his rule in 1000 AE after he had staged a successful coup against Emperor Takeshi Ofuchi in the First Battle of Kageshima. The Shogun formed alliances with various nobles and even the Clergy of Mardük and defeated any faction that did not surrender peacefully and submit under his rule. The unification not only grew the Shogun's army but also made it more cohesive and deadlier as well as crushed rebellious elements from Yamatian soil.
