The squire is the upgrade to the Footman in the Haven town in Heroes of Might and Magic V. The Squire is an excellent defensive unit, and should be used to protect the weaker members of your army (like marksmen and priests) from ranged assaults. Shield Allies will protect all nearby allied units, and Enraged will guarantee a dangerous attack, should they fall.
