After bidding farewell to Roran, Katrina, and Saphira, Eragon searches for the last Ra'zac. It asks to be remembered as the eater of human flesh before warning Eragon that Galbatorix has almost found the "name". It curses him, telling Eragon that he will leave Alagaësia forever, before being slain as it lunges for him. Eragon then tries to help Sloan.
