Killing one, in a solo dungeon, and offering the bones on an altar is required for Up to the Gods, a Daemonheim Medium task. Frost dragons are also notable for being among the first monsters that free-to-play players could kill that drop dragon bones, thus these monsters turned dragon bones into a free-to-play item for the first time. However, the dragon bones cannot be taken out of Daemonheim. With the release of resource dungeons, members can fight the frost dragons within the resource dungeons (requiring level 85 Dungeoneering), and those frost dragons within drop frost dragon bones.
