an Entity in Data Space: dbkwik.org

An inhabitant of lakes and swamps, the slimy nonakara or whirling snakes was a species that somehow had spread to numerous planets. Their primarily herbivorous diet was supplemented with occasional fish and insects. Nonakara excreted slime that slowed down their prey. They also exchanged slime to mate: being hermaphroditic, both partners would have offspring. Aside from when mating, they were solitary.
