Eldest daughter of Ptolemy I, and sister to Ptolemy II. With Egyptian tradition, members of the royal court were expected to attach themselves to parts of Egypt's religion. Princess Laodice entered service to the temple of Hathor. It wasn't uncommon in Egypt's past that temples became to powerful, so by making members of the royal family High Priests/Priestess the royal family would be able to maintain more control, so the plan stated.
