The ballistic arc of this weapon makes it very good for taking out units on rough terrain, but its low muzzle velocity means that units that excel at kiting can easily destroy this type of defense. The best strategy is to have a mix of T1/T2 point defense, as the Oblivion excels at taking out slow moving units. The best counter is fast moving units, and of course, aircraft or ships.
