Yoshiro is the heir of a Imamura Samurai clan from Wano Country on the Grand Line. The Imamura Clan were the creators and masters of the Ryu Ken no Koto swordsmanship style, warriors powerful enough to be able to change course of entire battles on their own. As such the clan were charged with the protection of a Saijo O Wazamono grade sword known as the "Wraith of Wrath". Yoshiro was the strongest warrior of his generation and when the clan was in its darkest hour he was entrusted with their greatest treasure. He chose a self imposed exile to an island in South Blue to protect the The Wraith of Wrath that had been in their care for generations.
