Erin Kendall was a young MIT graduate who one night filmed a sailor being strangled in the apartment opposite hers. She later called the local police who in turn called NCIS although many suspected that Erin's story was not true. It was later proven to be real when Dillon's body was discovered in a public toilet but things took a tragic turn for Erin when the same person who had murdered Dillion responded by breaking into Erin's apartment and strangling her. Despite Special Agent Timothy McGee's efforts to perform CPR, it was too late as Erin had already died.
