Hylan is a bishop within the Church of the Holy Light. He is one of the three bishops who have formed their own power bases within the council, one of the true powers behind the Church. Despite being one of the oldest remaining bishops, Hylan is still extremely active, and forceful enough to cow many younger men by sheer volume. Despite his narrow-mindedness, Hylan is genuinely devout, and can be surprisingly sympathetic when dealing with the Church’s followers. Those who have seen him in action cannot deny that Hylan has a strong connection to the Light.
