The Brawl at the Miner's Daughter was a fight in the Miner's Daughter bar on Vedros IV in 109 ABY. It was triggered by Renamo Kemset's assassination of the pirate Kilwyo Kesh. Having recognized the Enemy of the Empire, and frustrated by the refusal of anyone (including himself) to do anything about it, Kemset snuck up behind Kesh and stabbed him three times in the back. As the Synnott pirate bled to death on the floor, his Nightside Raiders gang was initially shocked into immobility. When they rallied, they moved to kill Kemset.
