Blondes have been made out to be dumb; blondes have been made out to be evil. In recent years, it has also become increasingly common for witches (or magical women in general) to be blonde in works, regardless if they are good or evil. Even in works where magic users are shown to come with diverse hair colors, the prominent ones tend to be blondes. As you will see, it is mostly a trope for live-action television. While neither being blond or having supernatural powers is gender-specific by itself, this trope usually concerns female characters. Examples of Blondes Are Witches include:
