Macbeth, a general in the army of King Duncan, was the main character in the play Macbeth. He was married to Lady Macbeth. In 2266, Anton Karidian played the lead role of Macbeth on Planet Q, as part of the traveling troupe of the Karidian Company of Players. The company presented the play, which was attended by Captain James T. Kirk and Thomas Leighton. (TOS: "The Conscience of the King" ) The Shakespearean character is loosely based on a real king of Scots of the same name who ruled from 1040 to 1057.
