Sonny Walters is a former NASCAR driver from Syracuse, NY. He competed in two Nextel Cup Series events in his career. Walters debuted in 1954, when he competed at Rochester. Starting positions in the field of thirty-two, Walters fell a number of laps down and struggled to a 26th place finish. It was only a bit better for Walters in 1956, when he competed at his home track of Syracuse. Starting 20th in the field of twenty-four, Walters only lasted twenty laps before overheating woes left him 23rd.
