an Entity in Data Space: dbkwik.org

The Nekaro Activity Index (NAI) is a method of calculating the activity of a hurricane season, created by the BNWC. It is a much simpler alternative to the Accumulated Cyclone Energy index. It accounts for the intensity of storms but not does not account for how long they lasted for, unlike the ACE. The average Atlantic NAI is roughly ~20 units. Conversely, the average East Pacific NAI is roughly ~30 units. The average NAI for the Arctic basin is very similar to the East Pacific.
