Wind of Dawn is a ship belonging to Captain Oscar Danteen. During the fall of the ninth year of the Riftwar, the ship broke its keelson and was laid up in the port of Crydee for repairs. Arutha ordered the ship repaired after sending Martin Longbow out to survey the Tsurani forces shortly after the ship limped into port. When Martin returned with bad news about a possible increase in Tsurani forces, Arutha decided to use the ship to sail to Krondor. Amos Trask took command of the ship to ensure Arutha's safety.
