Recon Team Echo was a unit of the UNSC Marine Corps contingent aboard the UNSC Spirit of Fire in 2531. It was comprised of one M313 "Elephant" Heavy Recovery Vehicle and two-four man Marine fireteams. Its sister unit was Recon Team India. The team was woken up by Serina for the liberation of Harvest. They later fought during the Battle of Shield 0459 on February 23rd, 2531. Unfortunately, early in the battle, Echo was overrun and absorbed by the Flood, and when Sergeant Forge searched Echo's and India's location, he declared both Recon Teams compromised.
