His works in the genre include: * Two Terrific Tales of Oz (1987) * "Unc Nunkie and the White King of Oz" * "Betsy Bobbin of Oz" * The Enchanted Gnome of Oz (1988) * The Shifting Sands of Oz (1995), with Chris Dulabone, Melody Grandy, Marcus Mebes, and others * Fwiirp in Oz (1996), with Dulabone, Grandy, Mebes, and others. The two stories in Hunter's first book are printed upside-down in reference to each other, in the format of the old Ace Doubles science fiction paperback series and similar works.
