The choral piece, "Hallelujah!", popularly known as the Hallelujah Chorus, is the most famous classical work composed by George Frideric Handel, and it closes the second part of Handel's oratorio Messiah, which dramatizes the life of Jesus Christ. In episode 410 of The Muppet Show, Gonzo plans to shoot himself from a catapult to sky-write the "Hallelujah Chorus," but ends up sending Kermit and Miss Piggy flying into Statler and Waldorf's theater box.
