The Shadow Somas are a powerful set of eight Soma evolutions that can be found in Tales of Hearts R. Each Soma possesses a hidden, untapped power that allows them to draw strength from defeated enemies, similar to the Devil's Arms, the Catalyst Weapons in Tales of the Abyss, and the Fell Arms in Tales of Vesperia. To acquire them, the player must defeat the "Shadow" versions of each character within the Triverse Gate, the game's EX Dungeon.
