The Howdy Doody Show was an American television program that aired from 1947-1960, featuring a freckle-faced marionette. It was a very popular show in the United States. When Indiana Jones stumbled upon a nuclear test site in 1957, the show was playing in one of the houses. As Indy climbed into a lead-lined King Cool refrigerator to shelter from the blast, the show's theme was heard playing shortly before being drowned out by the explosion.
