The Plough Estate is a postwar social housing estate in the Chilton Grove area at the border of Rotherhithe in Southwark and Deptford in Lewisham, London. Constructed over three phases on land formerly occupied by temporary prefabs, construction began in the late 1950s on the site bounded by Chilton Grove, Plough Way and Yeoman Street. This plot was completed in 1960 and contained two 4 storey blocks of maisonettes, and two 5 storey blocks of 39 flats. The second plot to be developed was located on the south-eastern side of Chilton Grove. This plot consisted of two 5 storey blocks of flats and maisonettes, with each 5 storey block connected by footbridge to its own 4 storey block of flats.
