The Issian Empire was a pre-Amilanian empire based around the city of Issia, which eventually came to spawn the area which came to be known during the Second Era as the Mediterranean Sea. The empire collapsed with the death of the childless Iaester II, which led to a partition of the territories amongst his most powerful generals. Eventually, the partitioned territories were conquered by one of the most ambitious generals, Shalmaner, who forged a far more extensive empire.
