Stan Jay (born Stanley Dale Jackson on 5th October 1899 in Yorkshire, died 22nd December 1984 in London) appeared irregularly on Coronation Street between 1963 and 1968 as George Dickinson, the father of Myra Booth and father-in-law of Jerry Booth. His other credits include ITV Play of the Week, The Saint, Dixon of Dock Green, Softly Softly , Z Cars, The Avengers, Follyfoot, The Liver Birds, All Creatures Great and Small and Juliet Bravo.
