Colonel Nicholas Joseph Fury, Sr. (of Earth-616), better known as Nick Fury, is the former director of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the former leader of the Howling Commandoes, Avengers, and the Secret Warriors. For nearly a century, Nick has battled the forces of evil from the shadows using whatever means at his disposal to make sure the good guys win the day. Nick is considered by heroes and villains alike to be the world's greatest spy.
