With Ranma's date occurring on the same day as the rematch, Akane decides to defeat the Destroyer herself, but severely damages her hand when she shows off her strength to Ranma. Despite her best attempt, Akane is unable to defeat the Destroyer, leading to Ranma (after securing the powder from Shampoo) to intervene and take the Destroyer on herself.
