Mr. Morton is a real estate agent in Bayport who owns and runs a farm as a hobby. He and his wife have two children, Chet and Iola. He is a good-looking jolly man, plump and freckled like his son. He is a highly skilled fisherman. In his capacity as a real estate agent, he has handled the sales of land to Elekton Controls and the new properties at Oak Hollow. He is also part owner of the Voyager Travel Bureau.
