Oh Gum Chol (b. January 19, 1959) is the current Vice-Admiral of the Greater Korean Navy and is the leader of Korean Republic Lower Command. Chol was born in Pusan in 1959 to an middle class family, who lost two family members due to the Korean War. Chol enlisted into the Republic of Korea Navy in 1972 and quickly rose through the ranks and reached Vice-Admiral of the Greater Korean Navy on January 29th of 2009.
