The Giant's Mine in the foothills of the Misty Mountains in eastern Enedwaith was home to a family of Hill-giant Miners.These Giants mined the caves near their home for gems which they traded to Tharbad, Moria, and to those Dunland traders not too terrified to do business. Having their own resources, the Dwarves from Moria normally did not trade for gems, but the Dwarves would buy some gems that were in short supply. These trade susually took place twice a year at prearranged times and places inthe lower valleys on the west side of the Misty Mountains. For their gems, the Giants got cloth, tools, casks of wine, and leather goods.At times, the Giants would also hire out as laborers for Dwarvish construction, but this was rare.
