Skirl is a title given to a Skandian wolfship captain. They have the responsibility of taking care of their crew and their ship, leading their crew into battle if hired, and raiding to bring money back to Hallasholm. It is a higher rank than Kirril, but a lower rank than Jarl. Some notable skirls are Svengal and Slagor.
