Markos Ioannidis is the current colonial governor of Jacinto, elected into office on 2549. He was reelected in 2554 after elections were postponed in 2553 due to the Covenant invasion. He was the commander of Jacinto's police forces during the Siege. In October 2558, Markos was campaigning for his third term as Jacinto's colonial governor when a Guardian arrived in the Hyacinth system and effectively disabled the colony's defences during the beginnings of the Created Insurgency.
