The Starfleet Command Appeals Board was a body within Starfleet Command which considered complaints against the actions of Starfleet authorities from affected civilian governments. In 2269, High Advisor Plasus of Ardana submitted a complaint to the Board against Captain James T. Kirk, after the USS Enterprise commander forcibly held him for an extended time in Ardana's zenite mines, to prove the effects of zenite gas to him.
